QUICK GUIDE

1. Always check the box for external and internal damage. If the outer box looks damaged, it is best to take a photograph of the damage before proceeding.

2. Open the box and check for any internal damage.

3. Check whether a UK plug is fitted to the machine. If a plug is provided but not fitted, it is best to notify the supplier. All machines supplied by us will be fitted with a UK plug.

4. On automatic machines, there can be traces of ground coffee, as some machines are tested on the production line. If checked on the production line, they are cleaned before they are packaged, but traces of coffee grounds can remain and travel within the machine when in transit. If in doubt, you can inform us or check the counter on the machine settings which will give you the exact number of coffees made on a machine. We do not send used machines unless you have ordered it as a refurbished machine. When we receive the machines from the factory, we receive them on pallets, and therefore they are not subject to heavy movement. However, when we send them individually to customers, we do expect movements, which will dislodge any residues of coffee from the grinder schutes, to within the brewing unit and pre-ground openings of the machine.

5. Accessories provided with the machine are normally listed on the instruction manual.

6. We open the box to put the pack of coffee beans, if these are sent out with the machine. We also do some sample check on machines for any damage withing the box. We also may include additional items you have ordered, in the machine box.

7. If you are in doubt or need any help, you can call us or chat with us or come on zoom to discuss it with us.

Always read the manufacturer's instructions.

Start Up

  1. Remove packaging and stored items from the water tank and box.
  2. Fill Water Tank
  3. Connect Power Cord
  4. Fit the Filter Holder [Portafilter] with filter basket
  5. Switch on Machine using the on/off switch at the front of the machine. [left switch]
  6. Prime the machine : press middle button [coffee button] and open the steam wand. When water starts to come through the steam wand, close the wand with the coffee button still pressed in. When water comes through the brew head freely, stop coffee button.
  7. Wait for about 45 seconds or until the coffee light turn on. This means that the brew temperature has reached the required temperature to brew the coffee. The machine temperature is controlled by a PID on this model.
  8. Run some water through the brewing head to warm the filter basket.
  9. The machine is ready for use.
  10. Brew a coffee, using finely ground coffee in the filter basket. If you are using the perfect crema basket - [the one with one hole at the bottom], you can use a ground coffee that is not too fine.
  11. If you are using a traditional basket, you need a very finely ground coffee to get the right extraction.
