A thing of beauty, the wood handle is wonderfully tactile and ergonomic. The portafilter spout is about 15 mm deeper than the standard one, and situated at the rear rather than than in the middle: this is fine for espresso cups but my favourite cappuccino mug does not fit in the Gaggia Classic without removing the tray; and the portafilter leans at a greater angle when filling with coffee, which took a bit of getting used to.
